Bayer report on STEM eduction: CEOs get passing grades, but . . .

report cardAs promised (in May 11 posting), here's the link to our recent discussion with ex-astronaut and BioSentient CEO Mae Jemison and Bayer's Sarah Toulouse regarding Bayer's latest report on STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) education and its implications on the workforce. The entire report in PDF is available as well. This Bayer report is based on a survey of 100 science and tech company CEOs and is, for the most part, complimentary of the ambitions that these corporate leaders have to improve science education, but critical of how they're going about it. In particular, they're not looking at women and minorities as part of the solution to their workforce concerns. -- PWT
