According to the company, the BioProfile Basic 2 Automated Chemistry Analyzer is intended to replace competitive glucose/lactate analyzers with state-of-the-art technology and consistent, reliable glucose and lactate measurement.

Nova Biomedical literature says the BioProfile Basic 2 is affordably priced to meet the budgetary requirements of institutional and industrial research labs and production facilities alike, and its long-life biosensors and reagent packs minimize maintenance and operating costs. Further, BioProfile Basic 2 is easily field-upgradeable to the BioProfile Basic 4, which adds glutamine and glutamate to the test menu.
