Supreme Court Refuses J&J Appeal of $140M Judgment

The U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear an appeal from Johnson & Johnson regarding a $140M judgment from a lawsuit that accused the company of insufficient warning that Children’s Motrin could cause an extreme skin condition.

Johnson & Johnson and its subsidiary asked the high court to decide whether they should be held liable because they said FDA regulators would not have approved adding warnings to the drug’s labels about the life-threatening condition suffered by the plaintiff, according to a Reuters article.
