Sanofi Recalls Painkiller in India

Sanofi is recalling some batches of its painkiller Combiflam in India after India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) found the lots failed disintegration tests.

Combiflam is a combination of paracetamol and ibuprofen, and is one of Sanofi's five biggest brands in India.

The drug batches cited by the CDSCO were manufactured in June 2015 and July 2015, with expiration dates of May 2018 and June 2018. A Sanofi spokesperson says the drugmaker has had taken "suitable measures" to address the issue.
