Regeneron Boasts Huge Expansion Plans for NY Facility

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, a biotech company headquartered in Tarrytown, New York, announced plans to possibly double the size of its R&D center, according to an article in lohud. The company is proposing nine buildings, with five partially underground parking structures, creating more than 1 million square feet of new  space.

As the first step, the article said, Regeneron is seeking site-plan approval from the town of Greenburgh to make the property "shovel-ready." Construction would be done in phases — over a span of about 10 years — to meet the growing biopharma company's needs, Regeneron said.

The pace of construction depends on the pace of future hiring, said Joanne Deyo, Regeneron's vice president for facilities.
