Nov. 4, 2014

China has developed its first erectile dysfunction treatment based on the compound ingredient previously patented for Viagra.

Shanghai-based Guangzhou Baiyuanshan Pharmaceutical Holdings will sell Jin'ge, which translates to "Golden Spear," for under $8 per pack - 60% less than Pfizer charges for Viagra in China.

Pfizer's patent for Viagra in China expired in May.
