Confab Laboratories, a pharmaceutical contract manufacturing organization (CMO) located in Saint-Hubert, Quebec, Canada, in late November received C-TPAT accreditation from the U.S. government. C-TPAT, which stands for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, is a program that ensures the security of all commercial trading between the U.S. and other countries. The program allows certified participants in the commercial supply chain to cooperate with U.S. Customs in order to save a considerable amount of time and effort in their trans-border transactions.

Earlier in 2006, Confab Laboratories expanded its facilities by 15,000 sq. ft. to a total of 115,000 sq. ft., and experienced a successful FDA inspection in July. For more information on Confab, visit www.confab.ca.
