Lantech's Packaging Road Show Reaches Customers

For customers who can't afford the time and expense to attend trade shows, Lantech has an alternative: The Complete Package Tour.  A first in the packaging industry, the new 18-wheeled technology show has visited dozens of cities and hundreds of customer sites on both sides of the Mississippi in just three short months.  The custom-built 53-foot trailer carries all three types of Lantech's core technologies: stretch wrapping, shrink packaging and case handling machines.  The show hit the road in March, and is scheduled for stops at various companies and Lantech distributor events throughout the United States in 2006.  "The Complete Package Tour has generated a lot of excitement with our distributors and boosted our brand recognition with customers," said Steve Pollock, Director of Marketing for Lantech.  "It gets the attention of customers, large or small, when it arrives.  It creates a compelling opportunity to take a few minutes from a work day to see equipment demonstrations that otherwise might require hours away from work."

The touring exhibit is decorated with high-energy graphics and is completely self-supporting with its own 50,000 watts of power generation and HVAC system.  Four different Lantech machines are on board, ready to run test product for customers just 15 minutes after arriving at a site.  The machines are a Q-300XT stretch wrapper, an SW-1000 shrink wrapper, an ST-700 shrink tunnel, and a C-300 case erector.  The trailer was built by Craftsmen Industries, St. Charles, MO, and has a Euro-styled interior with halogen lighting, video monitors, and complete climate control package.  It is pulled by a matching tractor supplied by Pegasus Transportation, Jeffersonville, IN.

Lantech's packaging and productivity solutions include semiautomatic and automatic stretch wrapping; automatic case handling; automatic palletizing; shrink packaging and pallet-load conveying systems.  Lantech is the originator of stretch wrapping technology and world's largest manufacturer, with 55,000 systems placed around the world and 175 patents.  Headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, with manufacturing operations in the U.S. and the Netherlands, Lantech products are sold and serviced by a network of 175 distributor locations.  Visit www.lantech.com for more information.
