Puerto Rico Hosts Hands-on PAT Training

PharmaManufacturing.com

IBS Caribe, Bruker Optics and Umetrics invite pharmaceutical professionals seeking to develop their PAT competencies to join them Dec. 1-2 in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a seminar on NIR and Chemometrics.

This hands-on seminar and workshop will provide practical advice, case studies and experience with near-infrared (NIR) spectroscopy and chemometrics. Participants will take home:

  • A comprehensive understanding — supported by direct experience — of NIR and its application in modern pharma processes, such that they can identify critical variables and track their behavior in such processes.

  • Practical experience in chemometrics of NIR spectra and other uses for data mining using a leading software package.

  • A detailed model, including required investment and ROI expectations, for justifying an enterprise-wide NIR strategy.

  • A 30-day trial version of multivariate analysis and design of experiments (DOE) software packages from Umetrics with the data sets from the seminar. (Participants should bring their own laptop computers in order to keep this software.)
In addition to providing an excellent educational experience for participants, this course will help to support the next generation of pharmaceutical professionals; proceeds from the seminar will go to the UPR-Mayaguez PAT Center of Excellence fund. This fund supports education, research and demonstration of PAT tools in the life sciences programs at local universities.

Due to the nature of the course and the learning expectations, enrollment is limited to 25. Register early to confirm your place. For more information, click here for a brochure (PDF format).
