The American Society for Quality’s Fifth Annual Six Sigma Forum Roundtable will be held September 15 and 16 at the Pier 66 Hyatt Regency in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It is an exclusive, two-day briefing and networking event designed by and for top-tier Six Sigma practitioners. To allow attendees more discussion time with presenters, registration is limited to 150.
Attendees will be able to choose from multiple in-depth presentations by Six Sigma professionals employed in a variety of industries, who will discuss their experiences with different applications, attendees can attend networking sessions, keynotes, a panel discussion, and a gala reception, securing information and contacts useful in meeting their organization’s Six Sigma initiatives.
Additionally, the ASQ Six Sigma Black Belt Certification Exam will be offered on-site Sept. 14, the day before the roundtable starts. Also new for 2005 is a pre-roundtable course, "Managing and Leading in a Six Sigma World," taught by George Gordon.
“This is a small-group, ‘members-only’ event to help facilitate, communicate, and perpetuate Six Sigma best practices and knowledge sharing among the highest-ranking Six Sigma professionals working in the quality field today,” says Jerry Mairani, ASQ president. “It is focused on peer-to-peer networking and one-on-one sharing of proven techniques. At the roundtable, you’ll find mid- to senior-level management people who are eager to learn, and share, what’s happening in the Six Sigma world beyond the practitioner-level (Black Belt, Green Belt, Master Black Belt) discipline.
“As such, it facilitates the sharing of successful practices, and fosters the perpetuation and evolution of Six Sigma for those involved with it at all levels," Mairani adds. "In this respect, it provides value for those attending and for those working in the ‘trenches’ of quality as well. One critical role of the Six Sigma Master Black Belt practitioner is to bring new methods, tools, and applications into their businesses. All too often, the time to identify and develop these skills is redirected in the light of all the day-to-day fires needed to drive effective Six Sigma implementation. The Roundtable is the place to acquire and benchmark new ways to solve the hot topics that often keep Six Sigma champions awake at night.”
