Get Packing: An Expo 2004 Preview

Pack Expo International 2004, November 7-11 at Chicago’s McCormick Place, boasts nearly 2,000 packaging and processing exhibitors, a wealth of hands-on demonstrations, and a full-slate of conference sessions. New pavilions for this year include the RFID Pavilion, the Packaging Security Resource Center, and the Showcase of Packaging Innovations.

Radio frequency identification (RFID) dominates the conference session docket. The morning of Monday, November 8, features talks ranging from RFID basics to the economics and ROI of anticounterfeiting efforts. The RFID thread continues on through the rest of the week. The conference also features sessions with pharmaceutical slants related to robotics, flexible packaging, and operations.
