07/11/2004
Expression Analysis, a full-service microarray processing, analysis and data management organization, has entered into a services agreement with Wyeth Research to provide contract pharmacogenomics testing services using the Affymetrix GeneChip(R) platform. All microarray services provided under this agreement will be compliant with 21 CFR Part 58 (Good Laboratory Practices) supporting clinical trial studies."Expression Analysis has built its infrastructure to facilitate use of microarray technologies in clinical trials," said Steve McPhail, President and CEO of Expression Analysis. "Executing this agreement with Wyeth, a leader in the field of pharmacogenomics, validates the potential utility of microarray- based gene expression analysis in the clinic. As an organization, we are committed to meeting or exceeding Wyeth's expectations for high-quality, cost- effective microarray services."
Expression Analysis recently became the first company capable of providing Affymetrix GeneChip services in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice regulations. Late last year, Expression Analysis completed collaboration with the FDA to assist the agency in understanding how microarray data might be used to support regulatory submissions.
