Conference to Address Contract, Other Issues in Clinical Trials

07/11/2004

The 14th International Contracting & Negotiating Clinical Trials conference is scheduled to take place September 27-28, 2004 at the Marriott La Jolla Hotel in San Diego, CA, announces Strategic Research Institute.

The conference agenda will feature speakers from pharmaceutical and biotech companies, contract research organizations, site management organizations, investigative sites, and academia who will share with you their knowledge and their lessons learned. The new educational agenda is a great conference for honing your contracting and negotiating skills as well as preparing you for the certification exam. Since the conference is co- organized by Strategic Research Institute and MAGI (Model Agreement Group Initiative), MAGI is offering certification for clinical research professionals for members and non-members. The certification is open to everyone. The certification exam is called the Clinical Research Contract Professional (CRCP) and will be offered at the end of the conference.

Some of the topics covered include understanding your partner, industry trends, sponsor and site priorities, cost considerations, basic negotiation skills and techniques, negotiating budgets and payment terms, partnering to reduce study costs, master and model agreements, confidentiality and other ancillary agreements, and managing relationships.
